2025 RBS RECIPIENT
Henry Oelhafen is the recipient of the 2025 Ron Balicki Scholarship.
Oelhafen is a junior at Vanderbilt University and is pursuing a degree in Human and Organizational Development with a minor in English.
During his time at Vanderbilt, Oelhafen has dedicated much of his time to covering Vanderbilt Athletics for the university’s student newspaper, The Vanderbilt Hustler. Exclusively covering the men’s and women’s golf beat for his freshman and sophomore years, Oelhafen has an extensive knowledge of the amateur and collegiate game. He’s had the chance to cover some of Vanderbilt Golf’s greatest moments, including a NCAA Championship run in 2024 to several players participating on golf’s grandest stages, such as The Masters, The Open and The U.S. Open. He has now expanded his coverage to all of Vanderbilt’s 16 varsity sports and will take on the role of Sports Editor for the 2025-26 school year in May.
Oelhafen has participated in several sports internships, notably interning for the USGA this past summer at the U.S. Open as a Pathways Intern. This opportunity with the USGA further ignited his love for golf and exposed him to the countless professional opportunities within the golf industry. He intends to graduate in the spring of 2026.
